The Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) proudly stands at the forefront of its field as a world-class IT service and computing user facility serving Munich’s top universities as well as research institutions in Bavaria, Germany and Europe. Home to SuperMUC-NG, LRZ is part of Germany’s Gauss Centre for Supercomputing (GCS) and serves as part of the nation’s backbone for the advanced research and discovery possible through high-performance computing (HPC).
In order to ensure highest quality of our HPC services, we value the exchange with our users and have made a tradition of our HPC review workshops. Below you will find the programme of our last workshop, that took place from June 8 to 10, 2021 as virtual-only event.
Stay tuned for the next edition in 2022 / 2023.
Enabling word-class science. This is what SuperMUC-NG was built for. Since officially being in the service of science, it ran nearly 750.000 jobs using 3 billion core hours. From astrophysics and engineering to environmental computing and personalized medicine. Get to know our power horse.
With AI techniques becoming more widely used, demand in HPC and AI resources increases in various fields of science at the speed of light. Our answer: Integrating the power of HPC with artificial intelligence techniques - with our own systems, or with systems designed for our clients' needs.
With our ambitious Future Computing Program we are contributing to the tech offensive by the Free State of Bavaria - the Hightech Agenda Bayern. Welcome to our new playground on the way to Exascale.
Now is the time to get quantum computing out of the physics labs and into compute centres. We are dedicated to make this new technology available to our users – step by step and in collaboration with our partners in science, technology and industry.
